Job description Position: Management Accountant
Reports to: Head of Finance
Position Description
The role of the Management Accountant for WYSE London Limited is to support the Head of Finance ensuring accounting information is processed accurately and in a fast manner. In addition, the Management Accountant will support the wider finance function where possible in reporting and reconciliations. The position is based in Head Office at Shepherd’s Bush.
Responsibilities:
Month end
· Carry out month end duties of the below but not exhaustive;
o Maintaining Fixed Asset Register and posting Depreciation
o Maintaining and Updating the Managements accounts pack and data
o Balance sheet recs including Stock, Prepayments, Accruals, etc
o Reconciling Sales/Refunds between Netsuite/Global E/Shopify
o Analysis & deferment of pre-order sales
o Analysis of major P&L costs – such as marketing, rent and rates, fulfilment costs
o Presenting Management Accounts for review (P&L, Balance Sheet & Cashflow)
o Record and maintain records of staff uniform allowance balances
Stock control
· Monitor the accuracy of stock and stock movements with Merchandising
· Manage the stock locations controlling VARs eg Negative stock
· Organise physical stock counts at half year and year end in 2 stores and Torque at Year End and reconcile to Netsuite.
· Carry out stock alignments between the warehouse location and Netsuite
Other duties
· Ensure Netsuite is correctly recording financial and sales information
· Assist with testing system updates where required
· Assist with annual Budget and Reforecasts
· Assist with annual Audit
· Assist with quarterly VAT returns
· Ad-hoc analysis work as and when required
Knowledge and Skills
· Good knowledge of Excel (eg vlookups/sumifs/pivot tables)
· Experience of Management Accounts and month end procedures
· Part Qualified or Newly Qualified in ACCA/CIMA/ACA
· Experience of using accounting software (Netsuite ideal but not necessary, SAP, Great Plains)
· Excellent communicator, both verbally and written
· Highly attentive to detail with an inquisitive nature
