As the Garment Tech Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the quality and technical standards at Wyse London. You will work closely with Design and Buying to ensure garments meet specifications, standards, and regulations.

 

Responsibilities

 

· Utilise your in-depth knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and manufacturing processes to provide technical guidance and support throughout the product development lifecycle.

 

· Establish and enforce quality control procedures, conducting regular inspections to identify and address any issues related to garment construction, fit, and finishing.

 

· Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure they understand and adhere to technical specifications, conducting factory visits when required and audits when necessary.

 

· Supporting the team and managing categories within the fit process from proto stage through to production and assessing AQL reports

 

· Work with Design team at the start of season to input into Tech packs to ensure first proto’s come back as close to original requests and new fabrics are reviewed and WT’s actioned where relevant.

 

· Stay updated on industry regulations, safety standards, and sustainability requirements, ensuring that all products meet legal and ethical standards.

 

· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during the production process, finding innovative solutions to maintain product quality.

 

· Work with the Buying team to optimise manufacturing processes while maintaining quality standards, effectively managing production costs.

 

· Maintain detailed records of technical specifications, patterns, and quality control reports, ensuring accurate and organised documentation.

 

· Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the Wyse customer and brand handwriting, as well as in depth product and competitor knowledge.

 

· Constantly meet and exceed expectations on product fit, performance and quality.

 

· Manage fit sessions by working with Buying and Design to ensure excellent and consistent fit of product together with the best construction methods. Conduct risk assessments of all products from the earliest point of product development, raising and resolving any identified issues.

 

· Manage in house model bookings and budgets for all fit sessions.

 

· Development of new labelling and branding to align and create a central source for all factories ensuring all COO are covered.

 

· Regularly visit our stores and review online platform as well as competition to ensure you are aware of risks and opportunities. In addition to this also lead fit reviews to help reduce returns rates.

 

· Standardise key blocks with the support of buying and design to increase speed and accuracy when fitting and increase product performance.

 

· Develop minimum make standards and measurements and adhere to these to ensure consistency for the customer across all categories.

 

· Develop and work with buying on testing requirements as the business grows ensuring all legislation in different countries are adhered to.

 

· Liaise with external teams, including the warehouse to understand and respond to any quality issues and to advise further actions. Conduct regular visits and reviews to ensure best practice and highlight any issues.

 

· Collate & assess Returns data after each phase to create clear lessons learnt. Present finding an actions in Returns meeting to improve fit for future developments.

 

· Lead on sustainable sourcing in partnership with Buying and Design and ensure factories and suppliers are compliant and adhering to codes of conduct.

 

· Conduct regular supplier scorecard updates to ensure risks and opportunities are highlighted to the wider team.

 

· Lead and mentor the Tech team, providing guidance and training.

 

 

Looking for an experienced Womenswear Garment Tech Manager who has a solid background of working within a premium clothing brand.

 

Full time contract

5 days a week. Hybrid working. 4 days in the office & 1 day WFH (Friday)
